Pamlico Capital Announces Sale of Digitech

Pamlico Capital announced today that it has sold its remaining equity stake in Digitech, a leading provider of revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions for emergency medical services (EMS) professionals, to its joint venture partner, Sarnova, a leading national specialty distributor of healthcare products and services for the EMS and acute care markets.

Digitech, headquartered in Chappaqua, New York and led by Founder and CEO Mark Schiowitz since 1984, offers comprehensive RCM services and technology solutions focused exclusively on the EMS market. Digitech serves municipalities, hospitals, and private ambulance customers through innovative technology, time-tested processes, and true partnerships with EMS clients.

This transaction marks the culmination of Pamlico’s investment in Digitech, which began in May 2019. In October 2020, Pamlico, in partnership with Sarnova, Patricia Industries and Schiowitz, simultaneously recapitalized and combined Digitech and R1 EMS RCM Inc. (“R1”) (formerly Intermedix). The transaction leveraged Digitech’s modern technology platform to enhance efficiency and automation across the combined organization. Over the course of the investment period, Pamlico worked closely with Digitech’s management team to drive significant growth, operational improvement and value creation.
